How to compare two dates when the submit button is clicked

    Hi,

    I want to compare two dates that is the start date and end date when the submit button is clicked using the client side event of the submit button.

    The date i have displayed in the form of  Textbox w/Calendar

    How to do it?

    Plz reply soon.

    Hi. Not directly, it can be done using client side events with custom javascript, AND/OR SQL Validation on the field that can return true/false based on comparing the dates, but we don't have any tutorials or demonstrations that cover this yet. Are you wanting to Compare 1/1/2001 = 1/1/2001 type thing or actually compare one date is greater then the other date or within a specific range etc?

    I want to compare the dates. Like comparing between the start date and the end date. and that validation .Like start date should not be greater than end date and end date not less than start date

    I would recommend using SQL Validation probably instead of client side events. We do not currently have any tutorials that cover this implementation, I would leave this thread open and us to code it for you please pick up some Premium Support hours at http://www.datasprings.com/productsupport/ (coding client side events isn't covered in our standard support agreement however we do try and post as many demonstrations and tutorials as we can to help.
