    I am using the trial version of Dynamic Form 2.7, on DNN 4.9.x.

    I am attempting to get an email sent upon form completion, but i haven't had success with this yet.

    I have created a new event in form completion events, and populated all of the email addresses, including one that uses a form email value. But, when i submit the form, nothing appears to happen.

    If someone can help me with this, i would appreciate it.

    I expected that there would be a place were i would have to set up the email configuration for the Dynamic Forms. Is this not a correct expectation?

    Hi Michael,

    If your email completion event is not firing, there are 3 areas we need to check:

    1. Do you have redirect settings (in completion events or in module configuration) and does the form redirect after submit?

    2. Is the event set to fire for 'any field response?'

    3. Please go to Admin, Newsletters and send yourself a test email from there. If you don't receive this email, then go to Host, Host Settings and check your SMTP settings. You may have to work with your hosting company to get this right.

    Thank you Candace.

     

    In the email event, i had the dynamic field set to the email address field, and not to "Any field response."  Once i changed the dynamic field to Any field response, the email appears to have been sent to the form user!

    Is it possible to send two emails upon completion ? One to the user, and a differently formatted email to an administrator ?

    Yes, absolutely! We have many customers who send multiple email events to various recipients. You can even send emails based on specific user responses to options (if you have a radio button or a dropdown, for example).
