I am a new user to Dynamic forms and I am still going through the testing phase, so this is perhaps a simple problem that requires a simple solution.  I tried searching for a solution in the forum but I found nothing, the search criteria I used is the subject of this post.

 

My problem is this; I was adding various questions on my form and adding various rulers to separate the sections.  I have a total of 6 questions, 4 are visible by design, 1 is hidden by design and 1 was added to the form but I can't see it.  The one question that I can not see, do not have the option of hidden but it is available to be modify in the management your question area.

 

In addition to this one question being hidden, I am unable to add additional questions to the form.  This problem started immediately after I added the last quest question, which is now not visible.

 

Also, I don't know if it matters, but I also have 4 text/html and 4 HR Rulers on the form.

 

I am not sure what I need to do or what's causing the problem, please assist.

 

Hi, that' very strange. If you go to Control Panel / Manage Questions, it could be a blank entry where you didn't specify a "question" response. If you find it here, it's best to delete that field and re-create it from scratch. -- David

I deleted the question however; I am still unable to insert additional questions to the form.

When you add a question and click update settings, does it show that it actually saved? Also, I believe since you have a bunch of horizontal rulers, you should set the column span for each of this to 10. I believe your questions are there but it's just shifted all the way to the right of the screen. If you use your horizontal scrollbar at the bottom and try scrolling all the way to the right, you should see the fields. -- David

I think I fixed the problem. Now it could have been 3 issues, so I will run the down the 3 changes I did.

1) I deleted the initial question that I couldn't see.
2) I changed the column span on all the rulers from 5 to 10.
3) When I added the rulers the default name /question for the ruler was "new field" and I didn't change the name for any of the rulers therefore all the rulers had the same name. I changed the name for all the rulers to be unique with names such as ruler1, ruler2 etc.

Once I applied the above changes, it appear the problem was fixed.

OK, the field that won't display itself is back however; I believe I have isolated the problem to a specific question type. It appears the question type list box can not be displayed. I can display other questions types such as a combo box without any problems, what am I doing wrong?

Settings associated with the list box:
Short Name: CompetingPlatform
Question Option: SQL Driven Option
SQL stored procedure: exec usp_Platforms
Selection Type: Multi Select
Row Numbers: 10

All other options are default.

exec usp_Platforms

what does it return? Can you list several rows here for me to evaluate? Thanks. -- David

This store procedure works fine, below you will find the results. I think I may have configure something incorrectly or not configure something on a global level that may be impacting this particular form, because if I add a list box on a completely different form, it's displayed the question.

Very strange indeed. The best route at this point would be simply to re-create everything from scratch provided you don't have a lot of fields to begin with. -- David

Well my other post "Multiple Page Wizard, using a Combo Box" is kind of related, so I have to redo all the fields and move them onto a new form and page anyway, so I will move forward with you suggestion and update both post accordingly.
