I would greatly appretiate some help in moving some text fields closer together. Currently they look like this.

I'm not very familar with this yet so it could very well be an option I have over looked.

HI, the easiest way to do this is to decrease the "label cell width" under Module configuration / General Settings. Also, what you are viewing on the screen is "EDIT" Mode which distorts the actual width (make it expand). View it in "VIEW" mode and you will get the actual form result. -- David

Thanks for the reply David. I tried to adjust that option however it makes no difference. Also when I am in View mode it looks the same as edit mode.

We have other forms setup where the "Name" "Last Name" areas are much closer together, obviously I am over looking a setting.

Can you export your form to www.betasprings.com (username: host, password: dnnhost) and send us the URL/tabid so one of us can take a look? Thanks. -- David

I went to that site and registered, but I cant seem to find the part where you export the form option?  This may be helpful for me to upload any form layout problems for you to see since my form development is on an internal site not accessed by world.

HI, on your localsite, where your form is located, you need to click on the "little down" arrow of your dynamic forms module title and choose "Export Content". You will then save an XML file on your localhost directory. Go to Admin / File Manager and find that directory / filename and click on it to save to your local hard drive.

Then on the www.betasprings.com site, go to Admin / File Manager and upload the file to a directory somewhere. Then go to your dynamic forms page and choose option to "Import Content" and locate the directory/file and that's it. -- David

     David,

    http://www.betasprings.com/hosptest...fault.aspx

I have uploaded the XML and it seems pretty messed up. Please take a look when you can.

HI, the problem is that you have 3 fields that have a huge column width (400 and 600) in pixels so naturally, it will push the rest of the fields over. What I did for these three fields is (under question look/feel):
    1) display label on same column
    2) set column span to 4
If you look at the form in "VIEW" mode, it looks very good now. This is the only way to get the fields closer together. -- David

I have done what you suggested and mine still looks much different than yours. Mine are push WAY off to the left and my field titles are smashed together.

    *edit*

After a quick export and re-import it looks better, however my field titles are still smashed together and taking up a lot of space. One appears as this.

    Manufacturer

    name,

    &

    Phone

    Number

    (if

    avalible):

Can you compare your settings with that on the betasprings website since I can't visually determine what the problem is that this point. -- David

Hi, what version of DNN and Dynamic Forms are you using? Can you export the XML file from betasprings.com and import it into a blank page on your website to see if it will look like what's on betasprings.com? thanks. -- David

Very strange why it would look correct on betasprings and not your website. If necessary, you can use the "Contact Us" and email us the host login for your website and we can take a look at it next Monday / Tuesday. Be sure to reference this forum post as well in the email. Thanks. -- David

I would do that however the site is hosted on our internal network.

Seem's that it might be a browser issue. When I load the page in Chrome it looks perfect, in IE8 it looks as I described.

How about Mozilla Firefox? Does it appear properly there? Also, in IE8, how about running it in "Compatability Mode"? -- David

It looks good in FireFox also. IE8 was already running in comparability mode, running as IE8 or 7 makes no change to how it looks.

Well, I'm at a lost here. Would be very time-consuming to copy the HTML that's being rendered into Dreamweaver to debug what html tags may cause it to display improperly in IE. -- David
