I want only one response from each person that submits a survey. The problem being we cannot use the one user option, because we allow Unauthenticated Users to participate in our survey, this would stop the second unauthenticated user after the first entry. I thought I could get the IP address from the users with a hidden field. Then I could see if I got more than one response from each computer. How would I go about doing this,

Hi, I suppose you can use SQL validation on the IPAddress token. Basicially, what you want to do in this case would be to try the following:
    1) create your own customized SQL table that contains the fields on the survey in addition to the token $(IPAddress)
    2) in the form completion event, perform an INSERT into that SQL table of the results
    3) under Module configuration / Validation, set on SQL Validation and check the SQL table to see if the IPAddress exists, if it does return an IsValid = 0 and if it doesn't return an IsValid = 1
Hope this points you in the right direction. -- David

What I need to know is a little more simplistic.

I would view results to excel, and manually remove all duplicate IP addresses for the respondents.

I cannot figure out how to get the IP address from the person completing the survey.

I thought All I had to do was create a hidden field.

and put $(IPaddress) into the default setting.

or maybe use the session variable checkbox

    use the client side action.

    I am confused.

    Hi Patrick,

Plese review this forum thread that shows how to set the IP Address as the default value for a field in Dynamic Forms and Dynamic Registration.

    Thanks!
