    Hi,

I have my whole form ready to go, I've tested it many times as a "host" and after some adjustments it's working smoothly, however I never went to test it as a "user" and when I recently did, I realized that my form, (that was set up similarly to demo 20), is not doing any calculations.

Also, when I click on "submit" the page just doesn't do anything but emtpy all the fields that I've filled... I don't know why this could be, since as I mentioned, as a host everything works smoothly. I know it has to be something pretty easy to solve but I have tried for hours without success, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Well, let's check out the following areas:
    1) on all your HTML fields that you show results in, do you have an ID set for them? Does your javascript calculations have document.getElementById('ID').innerHTML in them?
    2) if you use Firefox with addon Firebug, you can see any javascript errors that may pop up
    3) on submit of form, are you redirecting the user anywhere? Check under module configuration / general settings to see if you have any page redirection or under form completion event. Where are you redirecting the user? Or are they staying on the same page? -- David

    Hello David,

I checked all of the options, all of my IDs are in place and the javascript getElementById is there too. On Firefox, oddly, I don't see any error messages that may point to where the broken code is.

About the submit, it's being redirected to a "thanks for choosing us" kinda page (which actually works when you submit as a host) we even applied the "type YES on the green field to indicate you agree the terms and contions...etc" thing, which works like a charm!..

That's what's driving me crazy. Everything's working when you're logged in as host, you disconnect and everything goes nuts! could it be something about the hidden fields? since we don't see them unless we're not logged in as hosts (although I really doubt it, I guess that's why they're named hidden..) what else could it be then?

Well, this is kind of hard to debug since I know what your form looks like and what calculations and fields you have. Can you export this form to www.betasprings.com (username: host, password: dnnhost) and state the URL/TABID so we can take a look at the problem? Thanks. -- David

    Hello David,

Before I send you anything, I'd like to mention I got an error while not logged in as host: "CalculateCheckBoxListValues is not defined" and "funcRadioCalc is not defined"...

As I mentioned before, I don't get this error when I'm logged in as "host" (and everything works), this error arrives just when I'm disconnected. I might think it's something not allowing the inital javascript and the custom javascript to be loaded or something, I'm pretty sure it's something really evident that I'm just not seeing...

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Well, what version of DNN and Dynamic Forms are you using? Also, does this happen on all browsers (IE,Chrome,Mozilla)? Best bet for me to debug further is to export your form to betasprings.com. By the way, I've just placed a working copy of Demo 20 at the following URL that you can compare to:

    Hi Dave,

Sorry for the delayed answer... I found a solution to the problem, turns out it was just about the cache, which by default is in 1200, I don't know why but I decided to to put it in 0 and it worked like magic... I don't know the explanation, it just worked.. so here it is, Anyway thanks a lot for your help, I was going to export you the form, but I decided to give it one last shot!!

Right now I'm having a problem with some e-mail events that trigger sometimes and don't trigger some other times... I'm still trying to fix it... :S
