I can't seem to get the gridview working with sql options selected.  The sql is correct ... I'm using the questionoption and questionoptionvalue column names and when I click the test sql button in the module it returns the data but when I save everything and view the page there is no data displaying.  I would like the gridview to display something like this:

    Item               Approved

    Item 1              O

    Item 2              O

    Item 3              O

The circles would be checkboxes.  The items are what's coming from the sql options list.  How do I make this work with the gridview control?  The tutorial for this control (#22) only shows examples of using entered options.

    Hello Shemeka,

I'll start by asking a few questions.

What DNN Version are you running?

What Dynamic Forms version do you have installed?

What is your intentions? To have this field populate when the page is first loaded?

Or to populate the gridview values into a results form?

    Thanks,

    Ryan

    Hi Ryan,

We're running DNN 5.4.2 using DF 3.30.61, we'd like the grid to populate on page load.

Basically questions will be submitted using an online form and then displayed elsewhere on the website.  This page will be for admins to be able to view the questions that were submitted and then check a box to approve them for display on the site.  It's kind of like a moderation form ...

Hi... I am going to need to research this is possible. I know its possible for field such as dropdownlists/radio buttons within Data Grid fields (such as demo 24) but as far as GridView I will have to do some research... It appears that it should offer this functionality but I am not sure because there are many properties for each column (if its a grid column, if the field is initially selected, etc... From the interface I don't see a way to do this... I do see that it should allow it, just not sure yet if this was a misprint in the documentation or if its a feature that needs to be added etc... Please give us a few weeks to test and implement a scenario such as this (we are right in the middle of the 3.4 release so we can test it on our development environment).

Will your query/grid columns change often? If not maybe you can do a SQL 'Insert' directly into the DynamicForms_QuestionOption table so that it wouldn't take so long to add in all of the items. That might be a possible work around while we research this?
