file upload control not saving file name to db

    Hi I'm having some issues with the file upload control.  It doesn't appear to be uploading the file or saving the filename to the database.  You can see a screenshot here of the settings that I have set on the control:

    We're running DNN 05.05.01 and DF 3.40.41

    Please advise as I've been trying to figure this out for a while and from what I can see the settings appear to be correct so maybe I'm missing something.

    Hello Shemeka,

    I've seen this happen many times, can you please try putting at least some kind of informative message in the Invalid Extension Error Message textbox and save.

    I have seen this issue fixed that way, and if that doesn't work I would turn on debug mode and see what is happening when you're trying to upload a file.

    Hi Ryan,

    I got an email from Chad about this ... basically it was because of the placement of controls on my form. I had a file upload control in the middle and a control below it that had a question event attached to it which caused a postback effectively removing whatever file was selected for the file upload control. Since upload controls do not retain their values between postbacks I just ended up moving the file upload control closer to the bottom of the form ...
