    Hi,

If I copy a form to another page to re-use that form as a starting point for others. I dont get the header where I can add fields with all the icons, drag and drop interface, etc.

I know there are work arounds by using the manage questions area...just is a bit annoying.

Anyone know what I am doing wrong or is there a switch I can flip or something to get that to show?

    Hi,

This should be a setting within the module configuration that is enabled... Maybe attach a screenshot of what you see though. When you say you are copying the form are you using the 'Export Content' and then the 'Import Content' or how exactly are you copying the form?

    Thanks,

    Chad

Thanks for the reply...you can see the image here.

There is no 'panel' up top. What is interesting is that if I rerun the question wizard and don't select anything it does show up.

By copying I mean exporting/importing OR if i just copy the page with modules it will do this.

Definitely not the end of the world..easy to work thru, just a bit annoying.

    Hi Daniel,
You cant just copy and paste and get what you want. I think what you want to do is try I-portable. This is a term we use for exporting the contents of a module to a folder and then importing it into another page. To try this out as with your form make sure you are in edit mode and go up into the top left corner of your module where there is a down triangle and select. You will have some drop down menu options come up. The one you want is 'export module'. A menu will come up which will allow you to export that module contents into a folder. The folder will be some folder in the system which you can access from admin>file. After doing this then you go to your page and install an instance of the Dynamic Forms module. Then go into the same upper left corner down arrow and get your drop down list again. This time use the import option. What you will get is a folder option which will show your previously exported xml file version of what you just exported. When you download the new instance of the module on this page will be updated. You will get a copy of your previous page's Dynamic Forms module but some things like custom sql and javascript will not be carried over.

    Thanks

This is from a export/import scenario.

Sorry, I missunderstood. Then sounds like you are using I-portable. I agree that it isn't all that smooth and it is annoying in that sql, javascript, etc doesn't come with the export/import process. Daniel, you aren't missing any setting to make this better. Looks like this is the tool we have for doing this for now. Sorry I couldn't help you better
