I want to run a completion event only if a user types an entry into a text box. I set the completion event to check the textbox field. I can tell it to be equal or not equal to (something). But what can I do if I just want it to run if the textbox is not empty?

Hi. In this case you would probably need to end up writing a client side event and have that client side event within the initial JavaScript. What you would need to do would be to check the field (text box) and maybe set a hidden field value to TRUE or FALSE depending on if the field was empty or not. Then, setup the completion event to only fire specifically when the value was TRUE or FALSE etc...

Hi Chad, thanks. I did exactly that after I wrote this. And it did not work. The event would not fire. I was setting the second textbox equal to "True" if the first one was typed into. But the completion event would not fire when I tested for "True". So I tried using the word "Changed" instead of true and still it would not fire.

The only difference that I can see is that my second textbox was not hidden. Would that make the difference?

    Thanks
