    Hello,

I am having an issue where the "Display After Submit Message" (NOT "Save for Later") is not displaying after a user clicks Submit.

I can see the submitted form data in the View Results area, so I believe the form is submitting successfully. However, the problem is letting the user know that their information was collected.

    Thank you for your help,

    Ken

    Hello Ken,

    Did you do the following:

1.) Go to MODULE CONFIGURATION -> GENERAL SETTINGS and enabled the "Display Message after Save" feature? You will need to check this checkbox if you hadn't.

2.) Go to MODULE CONFIGURATION -> LAYOUT (PANELS / TABS, HEADER / FOOTER / SYSTEM MESSAGES, SORT ORDER) - > HEADER / FOOTER / SYSTEM MESSAGES and select the "Display After Submit Message" from the drop down list full of unique templates. Make sure you provide HTML, or some kind of text to make sure that you have added content. Then save.

Please let me know if the Display After Message is now working and still doesn't work.

    Thanks,

    Ryan

    Hi Ryan,

My module has the configuration settings you recommended, however it is still not displaying the message I set.

Here is what I see happen:
When the user clicks submit, the 'processing' image pops up and then goes away, and at this time I would expect the data to be submitted and the message shown, but I don't see either of these occur.

Only after a second click of the submit button is the data recorded, but the message is not shown and an error is thrown which says "A critical error has occurred. An unexpected error has occurred".

If you would like, I can set up the scenario on BetaSprings, but would need access to the site.

    Thanks,
    Ken

Hi Ken - I believe that this could be a conflict with AJAX right now within the module and the Display After Message. Can you go to Module Configuration and within the Advanced Configuration options of AJAX/jQuery can you try and disable AJAX or possibly Disable Ajax for Form Submission (but keep it for question events?).

    Thanks,

    Chad

    Hello Ken,

What Dynamic Forms version are you on now?

What Dynamic Forms version did you upgrade from?

    Thanks,

    Ryan

    Ryan,

I am using DS Dynamic Forms Ver:4.10.0.5601 / 6.1.5. It is a straight install, not an upgrade.

    Hello Ken,

I would recommend upgrading to the most recent version of Dynamic Forms, which is:

    Dynamic Forms 4.1.4.

You can have access to this patch via your store.dotnetnuke.com account. Login as the same account as you used to purchase the Dynamic Form and download the patch. Please install this patch and see if it clears up your issues.

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks,

    Ryan
