I am designing a donation form, on this donation form I have 2 different payment method: credit card (using payflow pro) and paypal (standard paypal payment)

For both of the payment methods above, I have another option like :Single donation or recurring donation

So what I like to do is on one form, one page (users do not have to go to another page), all of this can happen and the flow would be like this

If user choose credit card as payment method, then user can choose payment type like Single donation or recurring donation, then below that it will show credit card input fields so that user can puts credit card and make the payment.

    Same thing for paypal.

    Here is my screenshots

    1. If user selected Credit Card as payment, then user can select One-Time Donation or Monthly Donation

    2. Then user enter credit card info and submit the payment. However in the Module Configuration -> payment Gateway

I can only do one type of payment, either Recurring or one-time, is there a way to configure it process the payment as user selected payment type?

Hi Michael - Yes, the way you would do this is use a hidden field to represent the TRXTYPE such as a S or an R etc... Then reference that hidden field instead...

    Such as &TRXTYPE=$(YourHiddenField).

Then you would use a client side event to set that value. This is pretty common if you check out some of the demos at http://www.datasprings.com/formdemos. We utilize a few examples to showcase how to turn the payment gateway off, switch payment gateways by using the short field name of PGATEWAY and other things such as having a trial subscription within PayPal or a standard subscription and swapping out the values passed in similar ways as I described above. Let me know if you have any other questions.

    Thanks,

    Chad

    Hi Michael,

We've done similar cases before so my suggestion is to use a hidden field and use that to set your parameters. Let's call that $(Parameters) for now. The payment method should also have a short field name of PGateway. Please see Demo 18 from www.datasprings.com/formdemos for instructions on how to use this.)

Now, create client side events using javascript to say something like IF $(PGateway) = PayFlowPro and $(DonationType) = One-Time Donation, then $(Parameters) = such and such. You will need one for each possible combination to fill in the $(Parameters) filed.

Once you have this done, you can simply plug the $(Parameters) in the Parameters box of both PayPal and PayFlow Pro.

Please let us know if you have other questions or if you would like to use Premium Services for us to this portion for you. Thanks!

    Candace
