    Ok, this is weird.

I'm working on the latest DF version on a site recently updated to 6.2.6 (was 6.1.3).

I have two forms, both with image fields. On 6.1.3 they were both working well. I have disabled save to database on both, and fields would pass data to an event calling a stored procedure and writing to custom tables.

After the DNN upgrade to 6.2.6, the image field on ONLY one of those two forms doesn't seem to retain any value - checked it in debug mode and it wouldn't pass the value to the SP call at all, it just gave an empty value.

I checked configuration of both forms, and it was identical regarding general settings, initial javascripts, and settings of the field itself. I happened to read that sometimes modules can interfere with DF so i checked and the only difference was an Open Web Studio module sitting below the problematic form. I deleted it, retried and still nothing.

I'm out of ideas - how can an image field not pass its value to an event, while there's a similar image field on another form with identical settings, which does? I'm missing something here but I'm not sure what. Any ideas?

    Hello Sotiris,

Please use FireFox and FireBug(Plugin for debugging) and reload your Dynamic Form that is having this issue.

Do you see any errors on the page?

My guess is that even though the Dynamic Forms are identical on these different sites, there are differences in the sites. Perhaps there's a custom skin that was poorly put together. Perhaps there's a custom Skin that is causing jQuery conflicts with our module.

FireBug will let you see all errors that are occurring on the page.

Let me know what you find.

    Thanks,

    Ryan

    Hi Ryan,

Fortunately I was able to solve this earlier today.

I used Chrome with the javascript console open. No errors seemed to occur.

The forms were both on the same site, and this was a site upgraded from 6.1.3 - 6.2.6 - I had also upgraded DF to the latest version.

I set up a SQL query for the ModuleSettings table to compare properties of the two modules and discovered that the DisableFormAJAX setting was "Progress" on the module that worked correctly. I manually set the setting to "Progress" on the other module (via an SQL update) and it worked(!)

I think the setting has three and not two possible values, and I wasn't aware of the "Progress" value. I had disabled form AJAX on both forms since I had read that it causes problems with image upload fields. For some reason, it took a different value than my working one and this seemed to be the cause of the problem.
