Hi First off I love the module and cant get enough of it, many thanks.

I have an issue though with the date format in emails.

the date format is correct as per site settings (dd/MM/yyyy) in the pop up calendar and also when viewing/downloading submitted form data but all form completion emails show the date in US format.

    Hi Wayne,

Sorry for the late response. How about if you use a text box with an SQL client side event or a regular expression and use this in your email. Will this work for you?

I am having similar issues with the date field.
    1. The email date format is wrong (US Format) right elsewhere
    2. The pop up puts email in correct but if user adds date even with a regular expression check it just doesn't write the date.

    Help would be great

    Kevin,

Hi. This has been fixed for the next release, this is still probably 1-2 months away though and we will more than likely be releasing it in a patch of the current version as well. This bug effects non US localization dates and works properly when selecting the date, but not in the view results and/or email completion events.

    Thanks,

    -Chad

Hi, I am using V3.0 and I have the same problem.

My DNN language is set at en-AU, the returned format across the entire site, including DF forms/questions is dd/MM/yyyy.  It is only in the completion-event emails that it returns the funny, back-to-front American version.

A further question, if I may, we take bookings from all over the world (including from lovely Americans) so, to avoid all ambiguity, is there somewhere I can go to  amend the format to achieve the likes of '06JUL09'?  (btw the users on this part of the site are unregistered so localisation can't come into play. I will work on that for corporate clients.)

    Regards, Gordon

HI Gordon, I'm not sure if changing the date to something like '06JUL09' would stick. I tried entering exactly that into the SQL database table of a "datetime" field and it would change it directly back to default datetime format. I need to do more research on the way SQL reads datetime format, etc. -- David

Hi I have the same problem

    DF Version : 3.3.40
    DNN Version : 05.04.02

My DNN language is set at en-GB, the returned format across the entire site, including DF forms/questions is dd/MM/yyyy. It is only in the completion-event emails it changes to American version MM/dd/yyyy.

Hi Imran - so this is using the standard 'Date' field type within Dynamic Forms? I would have to check if this changed between 3.3 and 3.4 but either way a better alternative might be to use the jQuery Pop Up date picker as it has more options.

You can find out details at http://www.datasprings.com/formdemos (demo 28 should cover dates). I believe the jQuery date picker has more options and this would provider more powerful functionality.

    Hi Chad

yes i am using Month, Day, Year (combo box) and everything appears correct just in the email it displays in US format.

can you please check if it has been sorted out in the newer version ?

I will try jQuery date picker and i saw this demo before also but unfortunately client wants drop down and we have to do in this way

    Thanks

    HI,

I'm in the same situation :

    DNN 5.5.1
    DF 3.30.40

The date format in Emails is in US format instead of dd/mm/aaaa.

I've spend lot of time to try to use a workaround solution (With JQuery as you describe in your demo or with some SQL treatments...) but it doesn't work well with hiden fields fired on request questions.

Could you please help us in amount of the code source and make sure that the date format could be the same as in the database. Or perhaps with a specified format directly in the emails token like this :
    $(My_Date_field::format{dd/mm/aaaa})

This is the very last trouble with this great module to be used plently in our country.

    Thx by advance,

    Matth.

Hi Matthieu - Sorry for the late response this fell into our lap over the holidays and we are just not getting caught up. If you open a support ticket I will escalate the issue and hopefully get a patch out quicker.

    Thanks,

    Chad
