Apply Word 2007 Styles to "New Document"

In our company, we are trying to have a standardized Style Set that is used by everyone and we have just started using Sharepoint. I have uploaded a template file (.dotx) that has the headers we would like to use, but it didn't include the style set that I created. Is there a way to push down a style set to all users using Sharepoint? Can a "New Document" Template include a style Set?
