I had created a team-site on my company's sharepoint infrastructure some time back and currently in process of adding content to this.

I notice that my site's landing page (home page) is a Wiki home page, whereeas I have seen other sites on the same infrastructure having default.aspx as their home page. Currently it automatically goes to a wiki page.

The limitation that I am seeing with the Wiki home page is that I do not any Right Hand side container in this page for adding webparts. Whereas default.aspx have webparts container in middle and right side both.

Can anyone tell me that how can change my site's landing page to default.aspx --OR-- how can I add rigth hand side WebParts container in the Wiki home page.

I found the solution to it. In Modify site setting there is an option to change the Welcome Page, where I changed the landing page to default.aspx. Earlier I was not able to see the "Welcome page" setting, but when I activated the "Office SharePoint Server Publishing" feature from "site features" setting, I was able to able to see the "Welcome Page" setting.
