    Today I purchased v4.1 and installed the 64 bit version, and got the following error:

    Could not load file or assembly 'ChilkatDotNet2, Version=8.6.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=eb5fc1fc52ef09bd' or one of its dependencies. An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format.

    Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

    Exception Details: System.BadImageFormatException: Could not load file or assembly 'ChilkatDotNet2, Version=8.6.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=eb5fc1fc52ef09bd' or one of its dependencies. An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format.

    I did a little searching on the forum and found out that deleting the dll is an acceptable solution for me. But could you tell me what went wrong and how to fix it?

    Is there a solution to this issue?  I just purchased the latest version and instantly got this error.

    I found this on the chilkatsoft web site. I'm on a x64 bit version of Windows 2008 Standard and installed the x64 version. Any help would be appreciated.

    This is the reply I got from Chad Nash, the creator of Opt-In:

    "Just to let you know though, deleting this file should have no impact on the Opt In Email module 'except' for the bounceback protection. So you should be able to use all areas of the module and not run into any problems, except for enabling the bounceback protection scheduler. We have considered (or are considering) excluding this file from the installation file at all and only including it as a link /setup instructions if you are wanting to utilize the bounceback feature.

    Thanks for the info. I installed the 32 bit version and it seemed to work. Not sure why considering I'm running 64bit windows.

    Maybe its possible that your server is 64 bit but IIS and the Application Pool is set to run on 32 bit mode?

    I think that was it. Now, I'm trying to think what may not work if I change it to 64. But that's my issue. Thanks for the good idea.
