    Hi;

    I have DF 3.0 and just set up a new form with the Standard Captcha. I have set it to be required and server side validation is on. However the form won't submit even if I enter the value correctly. It always displays the error message that I specified in Required Text and Required field.

    Any ideas or is this a known issue. Normal Captcha from DNN (e.g. inside feedback form is working correctly).

    HI Thomas, can you turn on Client Side validation on as well under Module Configuration and see if this fixes your issue? -- David

    Hi David
    Client side validation was turned on as well and it didn't make any difference.

    I have tried the Advanced Captcha as well and experience the same problem. The validation does not work. I receive the not validation message irrespective if I enter a correct or incorrect code.

    I was reading in another thread that you intent on an updated version with a fix from the 3rd vendor. Any timelines on this as it looks to me that the Captcha control as it is Basic and Advance don't work.

    BTW I am using 4.9.2.

    Thomas,

    Hi. I have seen this before, but only when Captcha wasn't working on all areas of the site. But you say it works on the feedback form? If it's not working for either Captcha control then I imagine we need to review your specific settings. Was this an upgrade to 4.9 or a fresh install. On upgraded I have seen where it doesn't properly update some siteurls.config and compression.config files. Also, if you go to host, host settings, can you takeca screenshot of the settings related to compression and excluded paths in this area? I would like to compare these to a fresh installation settings.

    Chad;
    It was a fresh install of dotnetnuke. I am also attaching a gif showing the settings. Also the Captcha is working correctly for the feedback form.

    Thomas,

    Hi. Well if CAPTCHA works in other areas it must be a new configuration setting on the form. I am wondering if you go to module configuration, general settings, what your settings are for the 'Form AJAX' setting. Does it change if you turn on/off this feature? I just can't duplicate this locally so I am having a hard time trying to determine what would cause the CAPTCHA to not work right (especially since you tried both standard and Advanced).

    Ok we are getting somewhere. When I disable Form AJAX it works. So it seems to be related to that switch. I will leave this disabled for any pages that use the Captcha control. Just wondering if there are any implications of having it disabled?
