I tried to find a resolution in the documentation and examples, but was unable to find the solution.

Issue: I would like to limit the user to single submission per account(I know how to set this up), however the root issue is that I want the user to not only have one submission, but be able to edit their submission after they have clicked submit.

I have seen where an admin of the module can view the submissions and edit, however I just want the user to recieve the statement saying they can only submit one record "Would you like to edit your existing submission?"

    Hi Kevin,
I am new to DF but I have a suggestion that may help. I have a similar requirement, the only difference being that I do want to allow my users to make multiple submissions. (In my case they are transport bookings.) Unfortunately, I am not at my server so am unable to test the effect of ‘limiting user to single submission’ for you.

My approach is based on DF v3.0’s new View/Edit functionality described in Demonstration #23.
All you have to do is set up a Completion Event and in the related (Booking Confirmation) email include the parameter $(EditLink). Note, in Demo #23 the corresponding Completion Event is down the bottom, related to the YES/NO combo box. This gives the option of (only) Viewing your result if, YES, you have finished, or Editing if NO, you haven’t. In my case I am offering all users the option to Edit so have simply placed the $(EditLink) in the Booking Confirmation email.
The result is that the user, even if they do not have all the required details (eg in my case, flight numbers) they can still ‘submit’ a booking. They then get the email email with words to the effect: “If you need to change/add anything click here.” (That's the $(EditLink) parameter.) Thanks to DF’s cleverness they will then be returned to the input form, in the exact state they left it. They can change/add what they want and then resubmit.
The only other thing that I have done is add some words to the top of the booking form explaining to users that their data will be lost if they close the form before Submission, and then point out the approach in the para above.
I know that this works with the users not being limited to a single submission. As I mentioned above I can’t test whether ‘editing’ is treated as an additional submission. I would like to hope that it isn’t.
As I also mentioned above, I too am new to Dynamic Forms, so if someone has a better solution I certainly will bow to their expertise.
    Regards,
    Gordon
