    Hi,

    DDN Version: 4.9.3
    Dynamic Forms Version: 3.0.1.29636

I am getting an error when clicking the Preview button for the upload field, and when I submit a form the image is not created to the upload directory (I am not using an alternate, just going to the default image upload in the Portal 0 Folder).  Here is the error I see when logged in as admin:

DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object  reference not set to an instance of an object. at DataSprings.Modules.DynamicForms.ImageControl.ExecutePreviewImage() --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

If I attempt an upload as a plain ol' user view only view rights, I still get an error, but it's just the red X and says "An error has occurred".

This is an installation of 3, upgraded from 2.7.  The image upload field was working a-ok in the previous version.  The error occurs in forms originally designed in 2.7 or if I create a brand new form.  The 'attachment' field works, attached files are written to the server folder, so I think permissions overall are ok.  I've tried every combo of settings within the image field properities I could but it doesn't seem to make any difference.  I've also tried reinstalling Dynamic Forms, but only 'on top of' the current install.  I didn't want to completely uninstall first because I want to keep all of my created forms and data.

Appreciate any help you can give,
    Thanks,
    Erik

HI Erik, yes there is a bug with image preview in DF 3.0. Our chief developer is working on the issue and should have a patch fix by next week. -- David

    Hi David,

Actually, one more quick question - if I need a working image upload feature by next week and the patch is still not available, is it possible to install 2.7 over 3 - will that downgrade the version to a working state, or is the process too unpredictable?

    Thanks,
    Erik

That would be too unpredictable since DF 3.0 has a lot of new features which DF 2.7 doesn't have and if you've created some fields using DF 3.0, they would most likely not work in 2.7 since they are new only to 3.0. Let's cross our fingers and the update patch should be available by end of next week. -- David
