check box not firing up a particular event

    Hello, I'm using the Dynamic form 2.70.43. I added a question with one check box and configured two completion events. One is when a user checks in the box, he's added into a role A. The other one is when a user doesn't check in the box, he's added into a role B. The default value is 'unchecked'.

    When a user checks in the box, everything looks okay. But, if a user doesn't check, then he's not added into the role B. Could you please let me know if this is a known issue? Thanks.

    HI Rae, I've just duplicated your case. If left unchecked, the checkbox completion event will not fire. Here's a work-around to get this to work.
    1) create a hidden field with shortname called UnCheck (or some other name if you desire)
    2) under module configuration / custom javascript file / initial javascript, type in:
    if ($(checkboxshortname))
    {$(UnCheck) = 'True';}
    else
    {$(UnCheck) = 'False';}

    3) also place this same javascript in your checkbox client side event, note to change the $(checkboxshortname) to your checkbox shortname

    4) create a question event on the UnCheck field, with a value of False for the DNN role event; this means that if the checkbox is left uncheck, it will set the "UnCheck" hidden field to value of "False" which will trigger the question event to fire the DNN member role add.
