When you copy a page that has a configured DUD module on it and specify 'copy' for the DUD module. The module on the new page will display correctly until you update any of the templates. After which the module will throw an error.

This appears to be due to the fact that the 'list' template definition when copied includes serverside code.

    Using DNN 4.9.4 & DUD 2.5.5

Edit: The same appears to happen if you 'export content' (ie the module settings) from one module and import it to another

So if you choose 'Export Content' and then 'Import Content' the templates do not work? Or they don't work after you initially save the templates? Whenever you choose to export/import content I do believe you have to go in and update the templates one time. This is because actual files (template files) are saved directly onto the server and currently IPORTABLE implementation of the module doesn't support copying and creating those new files (somewhat difficult once you start moving between servers and trying to use that feature because of the physical files).

Data is exported and then imported. However, on the import when you go in and edit the imported template the code contains a whole lot of serverside ASP.NET code.  As soon as you save it the module (into which the templates have been imported) throws an error and you cannot access the module.  We are only trying to export/import within the same portal.
