    Hi,

I have a need to duplicate a Textbox automatically (without any specific event, such as clicking a checkbox or selecting an option  in a combobox).

Here is the situation. I have TWO blocks of information for event registrants. Both blocks have "Name"  as the first column.

Each block holds data for 3 people.

    Name >>option1 >>option2 >>option3 [block 1 header]
    Bill >>op1>>op2>>op3 [block1 1st row]
    Tom>>op1>>op2>>op3 [block1 2nd row]
    Joe>>op1>>op2>>op3 [block1 3rd row]

    2nd Block

    Name >>option4 >>option5 >>option6 [block 1 header]
    Bill >>op4>>op5>>op6 [block2 1st row]
    Tom>>op4>>op5>>op6 [block2 2nd row]
    Joe>>op1>>op2>>op3 [block2 3rd row]

In the 1st block user will enter the names. In

By the time user comes to 2nd block, I want the Names to be prefilled. In other Forms products, this is achieved by simply keeping the "same name" for the 'Name' fields in both places.

Is there an easy way to accomplish this?

You are using individual textbox for these fields or the datagrid fieldtype? I don't know any javascript functionality to work with datagrid types but if you have individual textbox, then client side javascript can easily accomplish this. For example, you have a textbox shortname "Name1Block1" where the user would enter "Bill" for 1st block and "Name1Block2" for 2nd block. Here, just include client side javascript $(Name1Block1) = $(Name1Block2). -- David
