I am setting up my form to email the admin upon submission of the completed form.  When setting up the email box with the correct parameters, on the right side are listed all of my dynamic questions (parameters) plus one called $(PortalName).  What is that?

When I go to the front end, fill out the form and submit it (using my submit link) I get a red error asterisk at the top with no label...just an asterisk.  I am wondering if this "portalname" is causing that error.

I hope after I resolve this error, I will receive the email, but I am not sure if I have set the new even up right or not.

    Thanks.

    Vince,

Hi. This is available in any form and is really used more if you import/export forms and want to include the name of the site in the email. For example, thanks for submitting the form at $(PortalName) site... etc... This is the actual name of your portal that is specified under Admin, Site Settings.

For the red *, make sure you don't have a field specified as required but then no required field text. You should also be able to turn off server side validation/client side validation and that will fix you up at well.

Thanks!  I didn't realize I needed required text.  I filled that in for all of them.

This is why I only saw the *.  But the issue is with the combo box that I made for people to select thier "title".  I was selected the first one "Mr." but it was still reading that I was missing that required field.  I just deleted the whole combo box question because I don't think it's needed anyway, but I wonder why it wasn't accepting it?

    Thanks for the help.

    Vince
