I've been testing out the trial version of Opt-in, and everything has been going great.

I've been able to optin unregistered users, ad users by role, and send emails to everyone.

While trying to get the tracking bug to display properly, I noticed it wasn't sending emails anymore.  Then when I went to go into the control panel, I got a

"Object reference not set to the instance of an object"  error.

I just donwloaded the trial version yesterday.

Any body have any ideas?

 

Hi, if you go to Admin / Event Viewer, does it give a more detailed descriptive error? If so, can you paste it here? -- David

Another note.

Before I realized I was locked out, I was trying to use a tracking bug image. It had worked on my test server. But when I tried to implement it on my site, it would just show the token.

Also, the $OptOut token was not rendering correctly either. But tests on my other server rendered these token fine.

Any Ideas?

I tried reinstalling the module but that didn't do anything. I really like this module and would like to use it.

HI, when you reinstalled the module, did you completely uninstalled it? Perhaps it might be wise to uninstall the whole module and start from a clean slate. I am puzzled as to why this is happening to your install using the trial version. -- David

We have tested a couple of modules like Axon and your module seemed to be a bit more reasonable except for this bug problem where after scheduling a newsletter for my opt-in list to be sent right away, I tried going back to the control panel settings but some how the module had locked me out from accessing the features. We got an "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" error every time we click on the Opt-in AdvanceMail Control Panel.

We are using DNN 4.9.2 and Opt-in Email 4.2.

Please help as this is a critical point for this project and we had been delayed for 2 weeks now, the scheduling is the last stretch and we need to make it work.
