I have a 'Create New order' form which exists of the standard order fields (name, address, etc.) and the Order_Details fields (one line fo each product/sku/description/price).  I made the Order_details fields in the new DataGrid field type.

 

I have major problems because of the following:

 

1) The Datagrid field type does not support SQL values (for example, from a Combo box)

 

2) The Datagrid field type does not support Javascript (to calculate the price total (quantity*price), etc.

 

3) The Datagrid fields cannot be used within the Question Events.

 

Do you plan to make the Datagrid field support more options and in what version ?

 

Can we help developing this or pay some additional hours so you can give this priority ?

We have 2 other options:

- Buy XMOD Pro  (although we don't know if we can do all we want with that module.. we prefer to use Dynamic Forms because we can do 90% what we want.. and the 10% will be there in future.. or if we pay.. it will be available faster)

 

- Can we integrate IndooGrid with Dynamic Forms ?  I saw a page about clicking on a Grid-item (in indoogrid) and then you can change that data with DynamicForms.

We want it different:  We want to replace the DynamicForms DATAGRID field by IndooGrid module.  Is that possible ?     So if you SAVE/SUBMIT the DynamicForms Form (which also hold the IndooGrid module on the same page), the IndooGrid will also be saved  (and it wouln't not be saved earlier..because the order_details are in the IndooGrid and the order_id is made with the DynamicForms).  Or maybe we need an intermediate-table and copy the records from that to the final table  (on form submission of the Dynamic Springs Form).   Would that be an option...   ?   Can you tell me anything about  integrating this ?

Hi. Just wanted to follow up on some of your questions here... We did send you an estimate but as I mentioned changing and configuring some of the options you might need for SQL Events/Client Side Events is pretty complicated and not something we can quickly roll out. One option you might consider is getting the source code with the purchase and creating your own specific field type. Your requirements seem pretty specific so that might be one option for you to consider doing.

I am not directly familiar with the other two modules you mentioned and if you think they would fit that requirement. I know they are both very powerful but again these are pretty specific requirements.
