The Advanced CAPTCHA shows capital letters but forces them to lower case on entry. My customer is finding that annoying. Is there any one of the choices that shows the CAPTCH in lower case to avoid confusion?

Any ideas on how to decrease the confusion this is causing.

Hi Cliff.... By default that is what the Advanced CAPTCHA control does and I don't really know a way to turn that off (we don't really control much of the settings for this 3rd party control and the settings we do control I can't see a way to enable or disable that feature).

We are using Advanced Captcha for both Dynamic Forms (vers. 3.30.61) AND Dynamic Registration (vers. 4.0.71). The Advanced Captcha works for Dyn Forms.
However, for Dynamic Registration the captcha field ONLY excepts lower-case characters!

    Hello Allen,

Dynamic Registration currently is set to lowercase letters due to an issue that existed when the letters were able to be capitalized.

Does the forced lowercase letter conversion when entering the security code cause the Captcha not to validate correctly if there's capital letters in the captcha image?

Just as an FYI, Dynamic Registration 4.1 which should be released in a few weeks, will include an entirely new concept called re-captcha with Dynamic Registration.

If you have any questions please let me know.

    Thanks,

    Ryan

The control does indeed validate even though the entered text is converted to all lower case. But it provides an uncomfortable conversation with our client since it works as expected in dyn forms but not in dyn registration
    Thanks for the swift response!

    Hello Allen,

I can definitely understand that under certain circumstances,  clients may not fully understand how and why this is functioning in one module and differently in another module.

However for the time being the conversion to make letters lowercase, avoids the previous error that was occurring.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience to you and your client.

If you have any questions please let us know.

    Thanks,

    Ryan
