    Hi,

By reading the user manual I see that you need to create a table and do a query on it in order to populate a list control like a dropdownlist with the correct localized values.

This however is not really a good option for us because we are developing a site with the purpose that a person who doesn't have permission to access the database directly can administer it.

Do you know if a user can populate the dropdownlist directly in the UI of dynamic forms without having to create tables themselves? If not, would it be hard or take a lot of time to modify the code to do that for someone who only started programming a few months ago.

I was thinking of having a dropdownlist populated with dnn's installed languages in the form when you select the option to add a list item type control. This "current language" value can then be writed to the same table where the text and value is currently written to and all three retrieved to show the correct values according to the "CurrentLanguage" value.

It sounds simple but is that really all I have to do if I buy the source code?

    Kind regards,
    Alain.

HI. Yes you could do this by writing the current language value. We have not added it yet to the standard module since a limited number of users have requested it. You can add as many options directly to the fields such as combo box, radio button, checkboxlist etc... Only issue is when it comes to content localization you do need to use a query so that it can pull $(CurrentLanguage) parameter within the query. Keep in mind that most queries don't require the user to use a table, you can go to Admin, Lists and setup any list you would want them to be able to use there (along with language).

As far as changing the code yourself I don't think it would be that complicated, its also something we will review if enough users would benefit from the feature.
