HI, I'm a little confused here. Are you referring to our Dynamic Forms module or our Dynamic Contacts module? If possible, can you duplicate this on our test site: www.betasprings.com username: host password: dnnhost -- David |

hi it is the dynamic forms.
right after the submit it will return like this :
Dear Sir/madam please check my details
aaa
bbbb
test@test.com
the subject is always attached with the =?iso-8859-1?Q? which causing the emails are running straight to junk mail.
any ideas ?

Hi. I think this was specific to a version of Dynamic Forms where we changed the encoding option from default to UTF8 because it was adding in some of those characters to the subject line... Can you tell me what specific version of Dynamic Forms you are running on? I am assuming if you use the same from email/from name under admin/Newsletters or admin/bulk email that the email goes through without the test junk in it? Do you have a version of Dynamic Forms that allows under advanced email properties for an 'Alternate encoding method'? -Chad |

Hi Chad:
I have similar problem the mails from Dynamic Forms arrive with the legend [junk mail]=?iso-8859-1?q?
I'm ussing DNN 5.5.1 and Dynamic Forms 3.30.50
Also use a valid email address in Email address from and it is different from the site admin email.
Any clues on how to remove the Junk mail legend (the =?ISO-8859-1?q? is removed in Outlook)

Hi Chad:
Apologize for not reading properly your response, I already look into the module and it doesn't have "an alternate encoding method" how may I work arround this?
is an upgrade of the module required?
Regards
Fernando

Hi Fernando - Unfortunately the only way I would know to work around this would be to update/install the most recent version... The version you are running is several years old now and we did not add this until the 3.4 or 4.0 release I believe. Thanks, Chad

Hi Chad:
I upgrade to 3.40.40.0 and found the alternate encoding in the advance email properties in the form completitions event I'm usng but when I saved the UTF-8 or WINDOWS-1252 values if I return to check the values this are not shown and the contact mails still arrives with the =?ISO-8859-1?
I guess I'm not using a correct value and this is why data is not recorded.
What value should I use for Spanish with accented characters?
Regards
Fernando

We have the same issue with the ?ISO-8859-1? in the subject field. We are using Dynamic Forms 3.10.0 When I try to save UTF-8 in the Alternate Encoding field, the value is never saved similar to Fernando's post. Any assistance is appreciated. Thank you. |

Hi Liz, The version you're using is pretty old and is no longer supported. I believe this issue was fixed with Dynlamic Forms 3.4.50 at least. I would highly recommend that you upgrade to Dynamic Forms 4.1 to make sure you have all the latest features, enhancements and fixes. Thanks! Candace
