Hi Guys, I have a form that calculates a total based on client events and that is passed to both a $(hiddentotal) and an innerHTML element that is displayed to the user, via client events. That part works fine.

I also have a user option to pay by cheque or paypal online that turns the gateway on or off (question event). That part works fine.

The problem I have is that whether I use an innerHTML or a readonly text field .. the total value is lost upon postback (question event) when the user selects how to pay. If I change the readonly textbox so it's not readonly .. then it works fine.

Note this only affects the innerHTML and/or Readonly textbox field I want to display to the user .. it does not affect the hidden total .. that works fine.

Looking for a workaround to continue to display a total to the user after postback .. any thoughts?

    Thanks

    Found a work around.

I was using question events to set the $(EnablePGateway) field, and also to hide an HTML field that displayed PayPal purchase instruction info.

The workaround was to use Client Events for the Gateway, no Question events, so no postback. And the PayPal instructions stay on the page in that case.

    Thanks
