First off, DataSprings products and tech support is superb!  I now always look here first before purcasing a DotNetNuke module anywhere else.

We have been testing Dynamic Views coupled with our Dynamic Forms for a few weeks now.  It is providing some usefulness, but I would love to have the following options in follow up versions.

    1. The ability to neatly lay out the data horizontally rather than vertically (similiar to a spreadsheet).  This means neat header across the top, and then the data listed line by line underneath.  It would be neat if this easily format in this fashion, meaning choose the option that states Create Template and then sets up all the fields in the text box using a table...
    2. The ability to control what fields can be exported.  Currently, all fields are exported even if only certain fields are used within the template.  For example, you have an online form using Dynamic Forms collecting all sorts of personal data, and using this data you want to create a Dynamic View page whereby a select few can login and only see name, telephone number, email, etc.  They can then export only this data for their use.  I think the best place to put this is within the module configuration of Dynamic Views where you generate the fields.  Put something where I can checkmark what fields can be exported.
    3. Sort order of the fields when exported.  Currently the fields are in alphabetical order.  Makes it hard to manage when you have alot of fields, especially if you have a field called First Name, and a field call Last Name which logically should be put together, but might have multiple fields in between.  Once again, I think this should be within the Module Configuration - generate fields portion.  Maybe even the ability to select a field and move it up or down (similiar to the dynamic fields order in Dynamic Forms).

    Hi Shawn,

Thanks for your kind compliments. Wow!

Thanks for your feedback, too.  We will add these to our request list for Dynamic Views and hopefully include them in upcoming releases.

I agree the support is great and the products give really good results,

    Just another suggestion....

Dynamic Views can't be filtered from another form at present when using custom SQL, it would be useful to be able to filter the results in the custom SQL using a session var or URL parameters.

Hi guys... First, thanks so much for the great suggestions and features. We are actively working on enhancements to Dynamic Views next release however there is not currently a release date yet.

Shawn - I think all of these are great ideas and we will see how many of them we can implement for future versions. I think the ability to 'Auto Create Template' would be a great feature... Maybe a few options such as 'Auto create as Table' would be helpful. Ultimately do you have full control over the layout but it does take time to create the layout the way you would want it (such as Table start tags in the template header along with the first row of column headings and then table end tags in form footer etc...)

Adam - I actually think that this already does exist as long as you are on the most recent patch/hot fixes. We added in the same parameters that Dynamic Forms uses such as $(DSParam1), $(DSParam2), $(DSParam3) and so forth along with items for session variables such as $(DSSession1) through 3 etc... You might give those a try, we might also (similar to Tailored Text/HTML) allow you to specify your own querystring or session variables you would like to use.

    Thanks guys!

Speaking of enhancements, one of the big enhancements to the Dynamic View module would be the possibility to work with OR criteria in Search conditions. Now the help label of the condition property states that the search condition is limited to AND, and that more wil follow in the future.
Another big enhancement woud be the addition of a Date input type. Now the input types of the Search function are limited to textbox, combobox and radiobutton.
And to finish off my whishlist, I would like to have a delete-function, so that administrators can easily delete records through the Dynamic View module.

    Greetings,
