Good Day,
When an individual fills out the dynamic registration 4.0 form that I have set-up on my portal, the users information is rccorded in the web sites User Account under Admin; however, the user is not authorized to log-in. Currently, I am going into the User Account and manually authorizing each user. By testing other registration modules I have isolated this problem to dynamic registration. How can i get dynamic registration to automatically authorize users?

HI, under Admin / Site Settings, what do you have set for "User Registration" under Security Settings? Try setting it to Public. -- David |

The security settings for Registered Users is set to Auto which should automatically assign users to that role. I would prefer not to be able to give users the capability to subscribe or unsubscribe to that role. Are there any features in the module that I should look at?

HI, are we talking on the same page? How are you assigning roles to a user? Using Dynamic Registration completion event? If possible, can you export your form to www.betasprings.com (username: host, password: dnnhost) and state the TABID so we can take a look at your form?
You should be using Dynamic Registration DNN Role completion event to assign roles to a user upon registration,etc. This way, they cannot unsubscribe or subscribe to a role because this is done in the backend of DR completion event controlled by you. Hope this points you in the right direction. -- David |

I have tried the Dynamic Registration Completion Event and it still did not work. I could set-up a User Id and Password for you so that you can take a look at the module on Rockford Kingsley's website. Let me know what you would like to do.

Hi Ed,
Looking at your original post, the first problem was that users were not getting automatically authorized, right? Let's move away from the completion event at this time and look at something else.
As David first suggested, please go to Admin, Site Settings, then expand the Advanced section where you'll find Security settings. Set the User Registration to Public and this should automatically authorize your users.
They will not be able to unsubscibe from the Registered User role unless you "allow cancel" on your form.
Let me know what happens on this first step then we can check other trouble spots.
