    Hello DataSprings Fans,

I want to force the user to accept the terms and Conditions everytime they log in, otherwise I want to refuse / cancel the log in, with a message "you must accept the Terms and Conditions"

    How can I do this?

I suppose I can display a message saying "By logging in you are accepting the T's and C's" but a tick box would be slightly better.

    Any thoughts?

    thanks

    Hi Mark,

Are you using Dynamic Registration?  If the T&C field is not required yet at initial registration, here's what you can do.

Create a profile property called Terms in Admin, User Accounts and set that to required.  Then on DR, create your t&c checkbox field, map it to your Terms property and then set it to visible to registered users only.

From there, go to Dynamic Login, Module Configuration and set 'Force Profile Change.'  This will check if all required fields have values and if not, it will automatically redirect to your DR page for a profile update which should now display the T&C checkbox.

Try it and let us know how that works for you.  Thanks!

    Hello Candace,

I was thinking about doing that with DR, but it is now quite achieving what I want.

I want the user to have to accept the T's & C's everytime they log in, much the same as the horrible way we have to accept the corporate T's & C's in windows.

My main reason for this is the username and password will be issue to a set of 50 - 100 people so I cannot really depend in the Registration process.

    Any ideas?

    thanks

    Hi Mark,

I have actually had a few customers request this but each of their requirements is slightly different.... Anyway, I don't know of a module that can handle this and now that I know you need it each and every time I suppose the best would be the 'Display After Message' but then they wouldn't be forced to check a box or anything and they would also already be authenticated.

We will review adding something into future versions to allow you to 'Force a terms and conditions prior to login' and allow you to copy/paste the terms and conditions into the module control panel or interface for future builds. If you need something developed or outside of our normal release schedule then you can pick up a round of Premium Support hours (probably 8-10 for this enhancement to be added) at http://www.datasprings.com/Premium-Support.

    Thanks,

    Chad
