Form changes focus to prior fields after question event..

    Greetings everyone..

    I am having an issue with question events to display hidden fields. In my form I hide several sections of questions and then display then based on an answer given (for example..if a person answers yes to "do you want to provide your information?" I display a set of questions including name, number, etc..)..

    My issue that the focus seams to jump to another section of the form (not necessarily to the top but closer to the top).

    Any ideas on how to correct this? is this a setting somewhere? I am using IE  8 and 3.30.61 version of dynamics.

    Hi Ryan,

    I haven't seen this one before and this is not the expected behavior.   What DNN version are you using?  Does it behave differently if you use a different browser like FireFox?

    Also, do you have the Collection 3.0?  If you do, please check in your Snowcovered account in MyDownloads for Dynamic Forms 3.4 and let me know if the problem continues.

    Hey Candace..

    OK..so I did upgrade this morning..I am now running the latest version of dynamic forms (3.4) . I am running 05.04.04 (2) version of DNN.

    I have confirmed that when the events fire the focus is indeed launched to the very first entry field. Any ideas on what is causing this?

    Actually I think I found the issue. I had the "focus on first field on load" option checked..upon unchecking closing browser and doing the form again it appears to have the behavior I want. I guess the focus happens even when events fire because I assume they load the page again thus causing it to go to the first field. Anyway--appears fixed. Thanks!
