    Hello,

My client is using Dynamic Registration has 86 "professional interest" roles set up in DNN, and on their registration they have 86 checkbox entries, the list of which are generated via a SQL lookup to the Roles table.

Up until now they have manually added users to the given role based on the user's selections being shown in an email after manually verifying the member belongs to that professional interest.  Now they are interested in automating the process, automatically putting users into the "professional interest" roles based on their selection on the registration form.

I know how to set Dynamic Registration to do so on an individual selection-to-role basis, but is there any way to programatically add rules for all 86 roles rather than having to add 86 individual completion events?

    Hello Jason,

I saw that we're responding to you through email so once everything is settled we can paste the solution in here for other customers to reference.

    Thanks,

    Ryan

    Basically I was told:

I would search our forums for text such as “Insert Into UserRoles” etc… There are a few examples of adding/updating user roles using a single SQL Event instead of setting up 86 role events etc… You would just need to write the SQL to parse through the check box list of professions and then match it to the correct security role etc… We can also write a query like this for you via Premium Support hours (probably around 8 hours) if you wanted to go that direction.

So I am looking for a solution.
