    Hi,

I'm using Dynamic Forms, and have fields of type date.  We would like to disable the user entering anything in the textbox, and would like to force them to use the date picker to select a date.  Please let us know if this is possible.

The problem we have is that the forms are used globally, and people have been entering many different formats of dates.  So the simplest solution seems to be to force them to use the date picker.

    Thanks,
    Shefali

    Hello Shefali,

I would recommend using the datepicker and then to have a SQL validation query(you can find this setting under Module Configuration) to validate in case if a user doesn't use the datepicked and types in the date then you can catch the invalid date if they insert an invalid date.

So you could use in your SQL validation Query like so:

    declare @var1 datetime
    set @var1 = '$(yourDateToken)'
    declare @booleanTrueFalse int
    set @booleanTrueFalse = 0

    IF isDate(@var1) = 1
    BEGIN

    set @booleanTrueFalse = 1
    select @booleanTrueFalse As IsValid
    END

    ELSE
    BEGIN
    set @booleanTrueFalse = 0
    select @booleanTrueFalse As IsValid
    END

NOTE: you will need to replace any single quotes with tick marks.

If you have any questions please let me know.

    Thanks,

    Ryan
