I am creating PDF's like a champ but I would like to be able to link to it later. For instance, if I were to look at a patient's history and I wanted to view the pdf that was created at that time.

    1. So I would like to insert that PDF link into the database so that I can show this link in an online report (is the pdf link token available in the sql event?)

    or

    2. Is there a way I can build a link dynamically? Is there some sort of pattern the pdf is getting its filename?

    Thanks!!!

After doing some testing I am pretty confident that the PDF tokens are not available to the SQL Event. I notice that the pdfs are stored on the server with a guid. Can I trace that guid to any number to build a link?

    Hi Daniel,

I just checked and yes the $(PDF) type tokens are only available within the view results and email events (not SQL events).

The good news is that you will be able to generate the link with some other tokens (with a typical implementation)

    The URL would be:
    http://www.yoursite.com/portals/0/D...ionID).pdf

So, if your event name was PDFTest and your ModuleID was 500 it would look like:
    http://www.yoursite.com/portals/0/D...ionID).pdf

    Thanks!

    -Chad
