    I just upgraded my DNN install from DNN 5.5 to 5.6.1 , running .NET 3.5.

    Now I'm getting the following Opt-In error when my users attempt to subscribe to a newsletter or when updating their subscription:

    "Message Failed! Your email failed to send, please check the email address and SMTP settings setup under Host, Host Settings."

    I was on Opt-in version 4.60.61 then applied the 4.3.71 patch and still have the same issue.

    Also The "Notify staff of new subscriptions" option now longer works. No emails are sent to the "Notification Email Address"

    My only work-around for now to Set "Auto Verify Users Email" to "ON", and turn off "Always send verification email"

    From the looks of all the posts... upgrading to DNN 5.6.1 tore apart Opt-In Email ..

    Please let me know if you guys can help soon!!!
