I have DF 3.4.4 running on DNN 5.6.2 (and same on DNN 5.6.1). I am trying to setup a payment form which I have done many times before, but in this case hitting the enter key tries to submit the form, and then a popup error message states :

An error occurred while adding a page: Page name is required.

I have tried various settings changes without any success. This behavior also makes clientside events lose their values, and it also loses clientside event values when any validation occurs.

I noted this behavior in a previous post a while back but there was no response. http://www.datasprings.com/products...1902#21760

I have tried the minimal extrphy skin and no change. This behavior also happens on DR 4.1.13.26621

The only thing unique about this DNN instance is the use of the DNNWerk editor.

Other modules on the site (but not on this page) include: Invenmanager Events Calendar, Mandeeps LiveTabs, Dynamic Login, Dynamic Registration, Dynamic User Directory.

    Thanks

    Hello Kellyo,

I have also encountered this before, but may I ask where your submit button is on the form?? Do you have any custom CSS on your form that alters the width of the form or any attributes on the DynamicForms_Maintable CSS class??

Also are you logged in as a host when this happens? If so what happens if you're not logged in or logged in with an account that doesn't have host / admin rights??

If you have any questions please let me know.

    Thanks,

    Ryan

Hi Ryan, thanks ... I am using the standard datasprings css, no changes to Maintable css class. Submit button is at the bottom, followed by a few hidden fields. This seems to happen regardless of login type. Have a peak at dev site http://edmontonscountryside.webmont...yment.aspx
Just for fun I tried switching to the iconbar control panel .. when I do that, hitting enter key on the form takes me to the admin console (while logged in). Some how this seems related to the control panel.

When using Ribbon bar and logged in as host, enter key on form gives me an error "An error occurred while adding a page: Page name is required."

When unauthenticated, enter key on form does not show error but page submits.

When using IconBar and logged in as host, enter key on form directs me to the admin page (console)

    Thanks

    Kelly

Also note that I have tried switching the default html editor provider without any difference.

FCK editor, Telerik editor, and dnnwerk editor.

    Hello Kelly,

I tried the link you provided and couldn't invoke this error to occur. Maybe this only happens to logged in host users.

    Can you test that??

    Thanks,

    Ryan

Thanks for looking into this Ryan. I tried it with IE8, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, and Opera ... and in all cases the enter key tries to submit when unathenticated. The popup error "Page Name is Required" only displays when logged in as host or admin. I've managed to work around the enter key submission issue for the most part for regular users .. but would still like a solution if it can be had.

    Thanks

    Hello Kellyo,

Have you modified the placement of the Submit Button using CSS?? Are you using a Image Submit button, or a Submit link??

I have instantiated this error before after altering the placement of the Submit Button using CSS absolute positioning.

    Please let me know.

    Thanks,

    Ryan

The problem occurrs because the Enter key produces a submission of the current form in the control panel (default is New page, "Page name is required" is because the field on the new page form in the control panel is empty).
