Just purchased Dynamic Registration & Email Opt In and I think they have GREAT potential. Only one slight problem, for the second time now, my Dynamic Registraion module got stuck and had to delete the page and redo the module. I finally was finally able to recreate the problem. Here we go:
My setup:
DNN 3.3.5
Dynamic Registration: 2.2
Email opt in: 2.5
DNN User Registration set to: NONE
I start off by creating the dynamic fields, normally start off by: Username, Password, Password confirm ( all as TextBox typ). After that I go to DNN Core Integration and link the UserID Field, Password Field and the Password Confirm Field to the right dynamic field.
The next step I do is create the First Name, Last Name, Email Address, Phone Number, Country. My next step is that I go back to DNN Core Integration and go the "Update DNN/Dynamic Field" link.
So far everything seems to be working well, but then my next step is what messes up everything I think.
I want my visitors to be able to NOT have to put in a username/password/password confirm, so therefore I go to the Advanced Core Integration Options. I go to "Automatically create UserID" and click that box, then I enter a "Password Prefix" of "st". After that I go all the way to the bottom of the page and click Update Settings.
After this I can NOT go back to the page, it just hangs. I log out and log in again but can never access the page again. The only way out of this, is to delete the page, and then start from the beginning. When I try to access the page in Firefox it tells me "Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.".
