I am using DF 3.3.40 on DNN 5.2.2

I have been doing some testing and I have a few fields that are not processing properly.  It was working but now I am getting strange results.

In my DF form, I have a few TokenID
    e.g.
    $(Question1) = 'ABC Company'
    $(Question2) = 'ID1234'
    $(Question3) = 'Cellular'
    $(Question4) = '7/22/11'

These fields are labels displayed on the Form as Read Only.  I pass parameters to it via SQL bind to get the output for the respective $(Token).

Everything looks the way it should on the form.  Now when I process the form via Completion Event where an e-mail is sent to the Admin and User, I will add the above $(Token)'s in the body of the e-mail.

But for some odd reason, where I state $(Question1), instead of seeing 'ABC Company' in the output email, I am seeing '7/22/11'
This is happening to other $(Token) fields too that are labels.  I have went back and verified the $(Token) fields over and over but its not being processed correctly.

Is their a chance that a DF module can be corrupted when processing these $(Token) label fields?
It was working for awhile but now I am getting weird results.

    Thoughts?

I did some changes.  I converted the $(Token) fields from label to text boxes.  I went back and submitted the form and all the $(Token) fields processed properly and was properly displayed in my e-mails.

I went back and revert from text boxes to labels and my original problem came back.  The $(Token) labels did not display properly on the e-mails and it took the value of other $(Token) labels in the output.

Like I said, it was working properly.  But for some reason, something changed in the module.

    Thoughts?

    Hi Chuck,

Hmmm... If these are simply labels why not just hard code these values in the email event itself?

    Hi Chad,
Unfortunately, The labels do change dynamically.  When a User enters the forms, its customized via SQL Bind.  I know you are going to say, why dont you just convert them to textboxes and make it read only right?

Well, previously I needed a way to get a focus on the first textbox on a form where when onload, it will HIGHLIGHT that area text box so user can automatically start typing an input text without using a mouse movement to get to that box.  By making my previous $(Token) question labels instead, it would bypass them and make my first textbox (which is actually a 3rd $(Token) question as the first input area, a focus and select point.

    I hope that made sense.

    Thanks,
    Chuck

FYI, Well, I dont know why there is a problem processing dynamic labels.  It was working before but something happened when processing and using the $(Token) to the completion event when initiating an e-mail.

I ended up converting them back to TEXT boxes and used CSS attributes to make it look like a label output.  i.e. remove borders and background color.

I also used Javascript to make the $(Token) fields, Read Only and Not Tabbable.  I know there is an option to make the $(Token) Read Only in DF, but the default attributes, grays the text out only and I didnt like it.

    Thanks,
    -Chuck

How is the value being brought into the page? Query string variable, session, cookie, SQL Default??

I would recommend having a Hidden field with the lowest sort order on your form to collect the Dynamic Value and have a question below that of type Text/HTML. Place the hidden field token into this field to display the Dynamic Value.

If hidden field name is "DynamicValue"

Then your Text/HTML template will have:

    $(DynamicValue)

Let me know if this helps.

    Thanks,

    Ryan
