error after installing optin module

    I installed the optin email module and it installed without incident. When I clicked return from the install scree, the site generated an unhandled exception. I was in a hurry and restored the site from a backup.

    The error referenced a module that could not load called skilktodotnet. (I hope that is correct).

    Hi Steve,

    Was this a trial or new version? The installation guide and product sales message (and also trial emails) should include some specific instructions related to this... I am pasting some of them below from our support site.

    Hi. The Opt In Email 4.x release includes a specific installation for 32 bit versions and 64 bit versions. If you run into this problem you need to delete the file called ChilkatDotNet2.dll from your dotnetnuke\bin directory (otherwise the site might not be operate properly) and install the appropriate 32 bit or 64 bit operation. This file is a 3rd party component that the module uses for checking bounceback protection etc...

    So basically you need to install the 32 bit if you had installed the 64 bit, or the other way around.
