SQL Validation works when in debug but does not work in production.
I set my validation sql to : sp_EmailValidatoin '$(Email)'
I checked the enable custom sql validation script:
I entered a Validation Error Message:
I checked Enable Client Side Validation and Enable Server Validation.
my stored proc returns 0 or 1, 0 if an email address is found, 1 if not.

Hi Kris, Does the registration take place and the user is actually updated / redirected? Keep in mind SQL validation fires after all other validators. Also, what specific version of Dynamic Registration and what specific version of DNN? Thanks, Chad |

Hi. Well more than likely the validation you are trying to use for SQL validation takes place AFTER the validation for the duplicate email address. I believe that validation is a setting that can be enabled/disabled under module configuration within the control panel to check for duplicate emails. Some parts of validation fire before others so its possible you are not seeing the message because the other validation is stopping it from moving forward first. Thanks! -Chad

What good is a validation that does not fire and does not display a message with meaningful information?
Also this is a field validation not a form validation. Field validiations should alway fire before form validations. |
