Hide field when date in date field is before a specific date

    Hi,

    I want a field become visible when the date in a date field is after a specific date, eg 07-01-1955, and hide when the date is before that specific date. What would be the best way to do that?

    Hi Bert,

    Typically, we hide/display fields based on a specific user response using Question Events. However, because the date range condition, I think it's best that you create a hidden field first. Let's call that DisplayFields. So what you'll do is add a client side event on your date field so that if date is > 07-01-1955, then $(DisplayFields) = True; else $(DisplayFields) = False. (you'll have to clean up that javascript)

    Then, in your Question Event, use the True value to display initially hidden fields.

    Be sure that the javascript is also in Module Configuration, Initial Javascript.

    Hi Candace, thanks for your reply.

    I have been trying to add the javascript to the initial Javascript and in the client side event.
    I have some jquery script in there for the pop up calendar. This breaks down every time I put in some code there. I'm doing something wrong, but don't know what.

    If it is not to much trouble, can you give me the script like I have to put it in the client side event and in the initial javascript? That would help me very much understanding what I'm doing wrong.
