Editing form with admin only question causes duplicate submission.

    At least, it seems like that is causing the problem. We want to have it so admins can approve the form submission or not, but it seems like when you hide the question from certain roles, it's like the question didn't exist at all so when the admin edits it it creates a new entry in the database (but also edits the old one for some reason). Is there a way to ensure that regular users can't submit anything for a question without this happening? Or better yet make sure they can only insert the default value you set?

    Hard to tell what is happening from this post because it seems like part of your question is missing but a suggestion would be to partition these questions onto two separate modules where admins have access to the one module and the regular users have access to the other. Then based on who is logged in one the right instance shows to the admin or to the users ( i.e. mutually exclusive). Make questions read only on module for users that apply to amins and vice versa. Here I am not talking about hidding question from roles but making editable or not editable based on role. This is kind of different from what you are talking about but it may serve your purpose.
