    Hi...

    My Dynamic Forms Version: 3.0.1.33274
    My DotNetNuke Version: 5.2.3

    I would like adding my form in other database which is hosted in other server with MySQL.

    What is the connection that I have to use? Now i have a connection but it don't work. My connection is:

    Driver={MySQL ODBC 3.51 Driver}; Server=myweb.org; Port=3306; Database=MyDB; User=UserDB; Password=PassDB; Option=3;

    what happen?

    Thank you

    Then only, can I connect my dynamic forms with other external database in SQL Server? Neither Microsoft Access?

    Hi Alberto - Well technically our module does allow for an external connection string and therefore any external connection will work. I have researched this recently though for another module and from what I can tell the same connection would have to be able to work with DNN in general. If you enter this as a connection under the web.config can you then later reference that and query against it/insert records against it under Host/SQL within DotNetNuke? If so then you should also be able to insert the data within our module as well.

    Thanks!

    I have been looking for this solution for weeks now... Data Spring says that it supports external DB connection in Dynamic Form module BUT where is that connection? I mean where do you set that up? I read the user guide from top to bottom and there is no clear note on how to add the external connection. I have DNN 5.X with MS Sql server in one machine and Oracle DB in another . I do not want to install DNN in Oralce however need to query Oracle db for forms (DF). The thing I want to achieve is straight forward:
    - when form loads, I need to have some fields pre populated with data from oracle and same thing when form is submitted, for that I need to establish connection to oracle on form load OR I mean the connection needs to happen in module setting level which I did not see...
    - Now I tried using extra connection string in web.config BUT I cannot even test it becasue of the DDN core Data Provider. DNN comes with only SQL data provider not the Oracle one. And do not know if its possible to add oracle data provider for DNN. Even if yes, I am sure how its done... If I cannot make oracle connection from DF setting level, there is no easy way to make it work.
    Your help regarding this issue is much appriciated...
    Thank you
