I am trying out Dynamic Registration in a DNN 4.7 environment. Before someone tells me "Upgrade!", please know that this is not an option right now due to a number of custom modules that have been developed.
I would like to use Dynamic Registration to assign users to different roles based on a membership level chosen through registration. This is working. I also would like those users to be able to immediately access content specific to their roles. This is not working; the user first has to log out, then log back in.
Some quick research led me to this post in the DNN forums:
According to Brandon Haynes in the post above, the issue I am experiencing was solved in DNN 5, but in DNN 4, you have to use some specific code to force roles to be refreshed.
My question is this: is it possible to have this added to Dynamic Registration for your next release? This is the only thing right now preventing me from purchasing this module.
Of course, if there is another solution, I would be happy to hear about that as well!
