Issue on login failure validation

    Hi guys,

    I have found a strange problem with the login module that must be related to jQuery or something. I have a page with the login module on an RSS news feed and a jQuery rotator and other html modules.

    If a user enters incorrect login details the login validation is triggered but instead of displaying the message correctly it triggers the RSS feedlink instead. When I hide the container on the RSS news feed module the validation doesn't trigger the RSS link but it does affect any module using jQuery, and these modules have thier containers displayed but their content has gone completely.

    Sounds like a conflict there somewhere.

    Hi Adam,

    Yes, it does sound like a conflict. I would suggest you use Firebug for Firefox to find where the conflict is and we can go from there. Thanks!

    Thanks for the feedback, we've look further into the issue and it seems the problem is server side but we have also determined that there are two different issues here.

    1) The redirect to the RSS page only occurs when using IE, seems to be something to do with the enter(13) key capture.

    2) After validation of user details the newsmodule is displayed without any data. We have looked at the page source after the event but it just doesn't get the content for the newsfeeds module. We guess that some code is breaking and stopping any further processing on the page.
