I am attempting to setup a hidden field that would be set to 0 or 1 based on whether a user is in a given role.

I am using this to trigger Completion Events that Email them and determine where they are redirected.

I have tested the sql that sets the value for the hidden field in "Host SQL" and it works fine.

For some reason though it all just isn't working.

My main question is: How do I check the value of a hidden field?

Second, does this approach make sense?  I don't see any other way to trigger a completion event based on role membership.

    Thanks

    Hi S Peth,
At the bottom of the form you should be able to see the value of the Hidden field in the form in Edit Mode not View mode. How is the sql being fired in the form. If you are doing it from a completion event then that is after the form is submitted so it won't work for you there. If you are doing it as sql driven option as a default value in the advanced field options then that should work if done right. Since it is a default value you should be able to see the value in the hidden field. The format in that area will have a format like the sample displayed: Select count(*) As DefaultValue from users. Let me know if this helps. If you get stuck please provide credentials to your site or set up a copy on BetaSprings.com ( login: host/dnnhost) that we can look at together.
    Thanks
