Currently we send out two emails at the Completion of Registration 'Only Initial Registration' using the 'Registration Completion Events' -> Event Type = 'Dynamic Email'.  This is working fine.

However, I need to be able to Localize the emails based on which Country the Registration came from not on Dynamic Field '- Any Field Response -' but on 'Country' equals 'xxxx' where xxxx would be the value of the Country.  Currently our Clients sells in the United States & Spain.  So the Emails need to be Localized for each country.

If I select Event Type 'Dynamic Email' then select Dynamic Field equals I can not select from a Country because there is no Field to enter the Value in or select from.

This Field seems to only work on certain Dynamic Fields that you select not all of them.  I would have thought that Country would be one that it would work on.

Is there a way around this?

    Hi Dennis,
Clearly you need two different completion events. One that is in Spanish and one that is in English and it sounds like you have each of these email completion events already set up. Sounds like the trick is to get the right language email to go to the right person. When setting up a completion event it is common to have the completion event fire upon form submission based on a field value in the form. Right now you are talking about having the email fire based on "any field response". You need to have it fire based on the value of a given field. I think you can do the firing of each separate completion event based on the country field in the form. Doing it this way you have the English email fire based on the Country field equal to a value of "United States" and the Spanish email fire based on Country field set to a value of "Spain".

Also, since you are probably using localization there may be a little twist to this in that people in Spain are coming into the site with Spanish in the labels and people in the United States have English in the labels in the form. Does the Country Field have a sql based query populating it? If so does the list show up the same ( ie. English) no matter if the user is English or Spanish? If the language in the drop down list varies based on the user then adjust accordingly.

Check this out as I am pretty sure this is the way you need to go to get what you need.
    Thanks

Maybe you did not understand what I posted:

"If I select Event Type 'Dynamic Email' then select Dynamic Field equals I can not select from a Country because there is no Field to enter the Value in or select from.

This Field seems to only work on certain Dynamic Fields that you select not all of them. I would have thought that Country would be one that it would work on."

I only have two Countries in my Registration Form list:
    United States
    Spain

We have removed all others.  However as I stated in the Event Completion Section if you select 'Dynamic Field' 'equals' I can not select from a Country because there is 'NO Field' to enter the Value in or select from.  This field is dynamic and only appears upon selecting a Dynamic Field of which only some of the Dynamic Fields will actually cause the Field to appear.  Counrty is not one of the fields that this works on.

I have attached a screenshot to better explian what I am talking about.

    Notice where it says:

    Dynamic Field 'Country'
    User Response: 'equals'
Event Actions: there is no field to enter a Country into.

We are using the DNN List 'Country' with the Registration Form to populate the Country with so that it will then refresh and display the list of Regions/States for each Country.

Hope that better clarifies what I am having the problem with.

    Thanks,
    Dennis

    Hi Dennis,

I think there are issues with the DNN Country field when using it for question/completion events. Would you please try using a regular combobox (you can use SQL-driven options if you like) and see if that works better for you?

    Thanks!
    Candace

    Hi Candace,

I will have one of my programmers work on it as soon as he can and I will report back out findings.

    Thanks,
    Dennis
